In the old days of terrorism and insurgency, people shot at innocents, blew up bridges and created mayhem. As far as the blowing bridges part goes, I think all the terrorists had the wrong idea. Far safer for all concerned, just piss on the bridge. Lo and behold, a tottering bridge. Which also reinforces the old saying, it's far better to be pissed off than pissed on. Even when the object is a bridge. Wonder if any handstanding pandas were seen in the vicinity.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. And then what happens when a teacher fails a basic kid's exam ? Send him back to school, I'd say.

And finally, striking work forces everywhere should take a leaf out of the book of the Pennsylvania Turnpike workers. Instead of inconveniencing users of the turnstile, they just abandoned collection of a toll. Result ? Everyone got to ride through free.
